Our mission is to provide daily care, activities, and socialization
for older adults in a family-like setting,
and to provide support and education for their caregivers.

Adult Day Enrichment of New Albany (ADENA) provides compassionate and stimulating daytime care for seniors and adults with physical and cognitive challenges within a safe environment. Located in the east wing of New Albany United Methodist Church, ADENA’s facilities include an activity room, an exercise room, a nurse’s office, a handicapped accessible restroom with shower, and a laundry room. Long hallways are equipped with sturdy handrails so clients can take walks. The front entrance where clients may sit and enjoy sunny afternoons is equipped with a door chime system offering added security.


On-site nursing services consist of routine checks of weight and blood pressure, medication administration, diabetic monitoring and injections and client/caregiver education.

Therapeutic activities include starting the morning by gathering around the tables and discussing current events while sipping on coffee. A variety of large motor activities are offered before lunch, such as balloon volleyball, box hockey, miniature golf and bowling. To stimulate our minds, we participate in trivia games, crossword puzzles and word searches, all completed as a group.

For a small fee, our staff can assist your loved one with bathing in our handicapped accessible shower facility even if your loved one is not one of our regular daily clients.

Registered nurse, activity staff and program health assistants supervise programs with a high staff to client ratio

Medication administration and assistance with special medical needs

Safe, secure environment for your loved one

Stimulating activities, trips and education programs tailored to each individual client

Weekly dog therapy visits

Bathing services in spacious, wheelchair-accessible facilities are available for an additional charge
