IN-PERSON WORSHIP HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE.
HOWEVER, ONLINE WORSHIP IS STILL AVAILABLE.
who we are
New Albany Methodist is a gathering place for people who want to connect with God. We preach, teach and believe that God can redeem anything through grace as evidenced by the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We worship, we pray, we serve, we connect, and we grow in faith. We believe that each person’s faith is a journey and it is a journey we travel together. Though we all have different backgrounds and travel on our own unique paths every day, this church pulls together under one unifying goal – we want to be connected to God.
During This Difficult Time
Please note that in-person worship has been suspended and our office is closed. However, we are “virtually” open and still here for you! If you contact us, we will respond to you quickly. You may be in touch with us by calling 614-855-1403 and leaving a message. You may also email the church office at this address: newalbanyumc@gmail.com. In addition, please be aware that you may reach our Pastor Frank Luchsinger directly at this address: pastorluchsinger@gmail.com.
what to expect
The Atmosphere
Dress in whatever makes you comfortable and fits with your schedule before or after worship. Please plan to enjoy a cup of coffee and the “best snacks ever” in our Cafe.
Classic Christian Worship Services 8:30 and 11am
In both services we worship God through congregational singing of selections from The United Methodist Hymnal, the reciting of scripture, shared greetings, pastoral prayer and inspiring sermons. During these services we also have beautiful anthems sung by our church choir which is led by Michael G. Martin, Choral Director. Several times a year we also host the Una Voce – the Michael Martin Chorale, among other choral and orchestral groups. Services generally last 1 hour.

Redemption Contemporary Worship 9:30am
In this service we hope to connect you to the redeeming and healing power of God through music, fellowship, prayer and meaningful teaching. Come and experience this powerful hour of modern worship. The Redemption! Band leads us in praise with songs from many different genres including Christian Contemporary rock, jazz, blues, gospel and folk music. We invite you join us in laying your burdens down and let song, prayer and the pastor lesson lift you up each Sunday morning. Services generally last 1 hour.
Multiple Options for Children and Worship
All three of our services are family friendly and children are welcome to attend worship with you. During the 9:30 and 11am services we also have the option of our nursery for children under 3 years of age or the option to attend K-Motion! which is our Kid’s Worship Program directed by Pastor Amy Woods. Maintaining an environment of Keeping Children Safe is a commitment we make through our staff training and utilization of Safe Sanctuaries® Guidelines and Policies.
Our ushers can provide you with activity / coloring clip boards for your children when they join you in worship. Our 9:30 and 11am services are also telecast to our lobby and to our nursery, which can also be a comfortable option when caring your small children.
K’Motion Kids Worship
Sunday mornings for Kids age 3 and over
Children ages 3 and over are invited to attend K-Motion!, a worship experience designed for kids. The children will sing songs, learn about their loving God, and will create something beautiful related to the Bible lesson. Please check your children in on our computerized check-in system in the Kid worship area.
All our staff and volunteers in Children and Youth Ministry are trained in the United Methodist Safe Sanctuary policy, and all receive complete background checks. Please note: our children and youth programs are always special-needs friendly If you have any questions, please contact our Children’s Pastor Amy Wood at pastoramywood@gmail.com
