IN PERSON WORSHIP HAS STARTED AGAIN!
HOWEVER, ONLINE WORSHIP IS STILL AVAILABLE.
who we are
New Albany Methodist is a gathering place for people who want to connect with God. We preach, teach and believe that God can redeem anything through grace as evidenced by the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We worship, we pray, we serve, we connect, and we grow in faith. We believe that each person’s faith is a journey and it is a journey we travel together. Though we all have different backgrounds and travel on our own unique paths every day, this church pulls together under one unifying goal – we want to be connected to God.
During This Difficult Time
Please note that in-person worship has been suspended and our office is closed. However, we are “virtually” open and still here for you! If you contact us, we will respond to you quickly. You may be in touch with us by calling 614-855-1403 and leaving a message. You may also email the church office at this address: email@example.com. In addition, please be aware that you may reach our Pastor Frank Luchsinger directly at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
** We ask that you sign up ahead of time so that we are able to do contact tracing, if needed.
** Masks are required for everyone age 3 and older.
** We plan to restart our Nursery Ministry (children under age 3) as soon as COVID numbers improve.**
what to expect
Dress in whatever makes you comfortable and fits with your schedule before or after worship.
Classic Christian Worship at 11am
In this service we worship God through congregational singing of selections from The United Methodist Hymnal, the reciting of scripture, shared greetings, pastoral prayer and inspiring sermons. During this service we also have beautiful anthems sung by our church choir which is led by Michael G. Martin, Choral Director. Several times a year we also host the Una Voce – the Michael Martin Chorale, among other choral and orchestral groups.
Redemption Contemporary Worship 9:30am
In this service we hope to connect you to the redeeming and healing power of God through music, fellowship, prayer and meaningful teaching. Come and experience this powerful hour of modern worship. The Redemption! Band leads us in praise with songs from many different genres including Christian Contemporary rock, jazz, blues, gospel and folk music. We invite you join us in laying your burdens down and let song, prayer and the pastor lesson lift you up each Sunday morning. Services generally last 1 hour.
Multiple Options for Children and Worship
Both of our services are family friendly and children are welcome to attend worship with you.
During the 9:30 service we also have the option of KidMin, which is our Kid’s Worship Program directed by
Pastor Amy Wood. We plan to restart our nursery ministry as Covid numbers improve. Keeping Children Safe
is a commitment we make through our staff training and utilization of Safe Sanctuaries® Guidelines and
Policies. Our ushers can provide you with activity / coloring clip boards for your children when they join you
in worship. Our 9:30 and 11am services are also telecast to our lobby, which can also be a comfortable
option when caring for your small children.
KidMin! Kids Worship
Sunday mornings for Kids age 3 and over
Children ages 3 and over are invited to attend, KidMin, a worship experience designed for kids. The children will sing songs, learn about their loving God, play games, meet new friends, and maybe even create something beautiful related to the Bible lesson. Please check your children in through our online sign up.
All our staff and volunteers in Children and Youth Ministries are trained in the United Methodist Safe Sanctuary policy, and all receive background checks. Please note: our children and youth programs are always special-needs friendly. If you have any questions, please contact our Children’s Pastor Amy Wood at email@example.com
I AM youth
Sunday mornings for youth grades 6-12
We will be following the church COVID protocols; wear your mask!
Sunday morning is a perfect time to connect with others your age.
We spend our time together discovering who we are in God, what is our purpose and how we can make a difference. This happens when we explore God’s story through reading, discussing listening to others, and asking questions. We connect with each other through fun activities, listening to music, prayer, sharing our gifts and offerings, and participating in ways that will serve others.
We meet in the youth room that is off of the east hallway next to the Centrum (Redemption Worship Center.)
Keep your eyes open for our “i AM youth” logo.
